I think that's about it for snow pictures. It was almost fifty degrees today, so the snow is melting rapidly into a big muddy mess. Yuck. This weekend, it will be in the seventies, and oddly enough, I am looking forward to it. Hope the weather is good where you are, too.

More snow pictures!!

We've been having such a good time today....got everyone all bundled up with plastic bags on their feet (no boots -- we haven't needed any for years around here), and we went out to play. I thoroughly documented the snowfall and the kids, since who knows when we'll even see this kind of storm here again.


After our morning of play, I made hot cocoa (from actual milk and cocoa, not the instant stuff) and we all had a snack.

One of the things I love the best about a snowfall like this, besides the sheer joy of playing in it, is the absolute quiet that descends over the landscape. It's peaceful and beautiful and inspires a quiet meditative atmosphere. I love to bake and sew, but I especially love it on these days, when the light is bright and clean. After the kids go down for their nap, I think I might go out for a bit of a walk, and then do a little sewing. Tonight is pizza night, so that will be today's baking.
